Mother Mallard with Ducklings
Taken at Harp Pool on the Knap, Barry.
It makes a pleasing shot but there is sadness behind it, she started out with seven ducklings four of which soon succumbed to the many seagulls on the coast. She looks proud of the ones she managed to keep and indeed, as far as I know, they all survived.
